When a Repipe Makes Sense

Galvanized Steel
Galvanized steel pipe that is corroded inside

Polybutylene Pipe
Polybutylene (gray plastic) pipe, common in Florida homes from the late 1970s to mid-1990s

Repeated Leaks
Repeated pinhole leaks or pipe failures

Low Pressure
Low water pressure throughout the house

Discolored Water
Rusty or discolored water

Insurance Requirements
Insurance companies requiring pipe replacement
PEX vs. Copper
PEX is flexible, resists scale and installs with fewer wall openings, keeping cost and time down. Copper is durable and time-tested but costs more. We'll recommend the right choice for your building.
What to Expect
Most single-family repipes take a few days. We route new lines through walls and the attic, restore water at the end of each day where possible, patch access holes, and pull the required permit and inspection.
Whole-Building Repiping and Cast Iron Replacement
We don't just repipe houses. We repipe entire buildings, including condo towers, commercial buildings and multi-unit properties. We have replaced all of the original cast iron piping in two 13-story condo buildings. If your building's cast iron is cracking, leaking or backing up, we can plan a full replacement and work with your association and building management from start to finish.
